all lenses are covered with a transparent protective film that must be removed before use.
Photochromic lenses are lenses which, when exposed to UV radiation or sunlight in general, initiate a reversible chemical reaction and darken. Once the irradiation of light or uv rays disappears, they gradually return to the initial state of transparency.
These lenses protect from UV rays and solar glare.
Photochromic lenses, when not exposed to UV rays, turn out to be very clear although not like classic transparent lenses.
Particularly suitable for enduro use, which typically presents the transition from shady areas in the undergrowth to moments of glare when exiting the scrub with the sun in front.
